Get Involved!
There are many ways to get involved in Malden Youth Soccer
Coaching
Most Malden Youth Soccer coaches are the parents of current and former players! Coaching is fun and rewarding, and our volunteer coaches make MYS possible.
MYS provides training and resources for coaches and assistant coaches, including paying for coach training. The children of coaches may play soccer for free after certain conditions are met.
All coaches are subject to CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) checks.
For more information, or to volunteer, email info@maldenyouthsoccer.org.

referee
Referees keep our players safe and make sure players know and follow the rules. Referees are a paid position.
Anyone 14 years or older can take the course to become a US Soccer Federation certified grade 8 referee. MYS will subsidize your licensing costs.
Learn more from the Mass State Referee Committee, or contact the MYS Referee Coordinator for more information.

Board of Directors & Committees
Malden youth soccer is run entirely by parent and community member volunteers. All of the responsibilities are taken up by people who contribute their time, and talents to enriching the lives of kids in our community. A lot of work goes into bringing soccer to the lives of our hundreds of players. We always have open positions and could use help.
We're always looking for people to help keep Malden Youth Soccer running, or to propose and spearhead a project you think up. We also always need help with placing banners at fields on game days, fundraising activities, staffing publicity or sales tables, keeping order at events like Picture Day, etc. etc.!
MYS is particularly interested in expanding our reach within the many communities of Malden. If you can help produce or translate flyers, contact newspapers, etc., contact our Publicity Chair at publicity@maldenyouthsoccer.org.
All adult members of the Malden Youth Soccer community are invited to run for board positions. For information, including a list of open positions, please contact info@maldenyouthsoccer.org.
